Rachael Keolanui Epperson is the Owner and
Director of Donkey Tales. This program began with a deep
love of donkeys and nature, and a wanting to share unique adventures
with children. Watching how a child can become calm and learn to
listen with the donkeys is a joy, my labor of love. I have
training and experience in teaching and child development, CPR and First
Aid.
Donkey Tales of Hawaii has been providing adventures
for children for over 15 years. Our donkeys are gentle, intelligent
and lovable. Our many years of experience with these
wonderful creatures have provided us with the skills necessary to provide
unforgettable adventures for children and families.
Donkeys act as a positive focus for interactive behavior and provide the
motivation to use language, balance and coordination skills. Donkeys have a
calming influence on children and adults. Our programs assist in the
development of social skills which facilitate relationship building.
The donkeys help foster self esteem, personal responsibility, respect and
trust. The therapeutic value of the link between animals and humans is
now recognized and used by many organizations throughout the world.
